The Holly Shrine of Imam Zain Al – Abedeen (Best worshipers) (PBUH)

In the western side of Imam Ali Holly Shrine and about (500 M) from the shrine, lies the shrine of Imam Ali Bin Al – Hussein Zain Al – Abedeen (Best worshipers) (PBUH). The historical references refer that Imam Ali Bin Al – Hussein Zain Al – Abedeen (Best worshipers) (PBUH) was coming frequently to visit his grandfather Imam Ali.

 The shrine lies out of the old fence, which was surround the old city and eliminated years ago. After the uprising in 1991, the old regime destroyed the entire shrine by using dynamite.

    Other historical references refer that there is another shrine of Imam Ali Bin Al – Hussein Zain Al – Abedeen (Best worshipers) (PBUH) and lies beside the holly shrine of Imam Ali, near Bab Al – Faraj in the western side of the shrine.

   Safi Safa Shrine

     Beside the mentioned shrine of Imam Ali Bin Al – Hussein Zain Al – Abedeen (Best worshipers) (PBUH) lies the shrine of Atheeb Al – Yamani, who is known as Safi Saf. He was man from Yemen. In his will, he ordered his son to take his body to Iraq and to this location specifically to be buried.

    After the last events in Iraq, the shrine ruined and it is waiting now for new reconstructions according for a new design to suit the visitors.

     The historical references refer that Imam Ali (PBUH) was in one of his solitude in Al – Gharee when he saw a man coming from the desert. There was a camel with the man, on the camel was a funeral. They started to talk (the talk is famous in the history books). Then, the man mentioned the will of his father, which was that he must be buried in location because a man who will intercede for all Arabs will be burry here. Imam Ali (PBUH) told him that he was the man.

   There are some archeological stones in this location. The stones belong to the eighth century A.H. and there is a stone in the entrance belongs to (759 A.H.).
