The Najaf Chamber of Commerce received the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Najaf, Sayed Saeed Sayedin, and his accompanying delegation, on his first visit to the chamber since assuming his duties at the consulate.
Chamber Chairman Engineer Haider Al-Athari pointed to the historical and geographical ties between the two countries, which necessitate the establishment of genuine trade cooperation, particularly with Najaf, which is distinguished as an agricultural, industrial, and tourist city visited by millions of visitors annually.
For his part, the Iranian Consul expressed his keenness to strengthen trade relations between the two countries and raise the level of cooperation by intensifying the exchange of trade delegations and participating in specialized exhibitions. He also extended an invitation to Najaf merchants to participate in the construction industries exhibition in Qom and the Kish Expo.
