The Najaf Chamber of Commerce received the Ambassador of the Republic of Venezuela to Baghdad, Mr. Arturo Anibal, who spoke about his interest in developing relations with Najaf, which is visited by millions of visitors annually.
Speaking about efforts to establish an air bridge between Baghdad and Jakarta to boost tourism and air freight, facilitating trade between the two countries, particularly given Venezuela’s attractive tourist destinations and its development in the export of livestock, meat, and fruits.
The Chamber’s Chairman, Engineer Haider Al-Athari, pointed out that there are many commonalities between the two countries, such as energy and oil resources, which calls for establishing real trade cooperation, especially with Najaf, which is distinguished by being an agricultural, industrial and tourist city.
He highlighted the possibility of building strong relations despite the distance, and the importance of meetings between businessmen, whether through coordination with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce or holding trade fairs for Venezuelan exports in Najaf and Baghdad.
