Najaf Chamber / Najaf Chamber of Commerce participated in the first hypothetical annual conference on qualifying and employing graduates, which was held by the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University under the slogan of ” Technical Education that contributes to the renaissance of the Iraqi economy ” . The conference discussed developing curricula to meet the needs of the labor market and the role of universities in qualifying graduates for the labor market and coordinating with institutions and companies in various sectors to support graduates and provide suitable job opportunities. Eng. Haider Al-Ethari, Chairman of the Chamber, within the axis of interlocking between universities and the labor market, spoke about the Chamber’s willingness to cooperate with Iraqi universities at all levels to find solutions to exploit our human resources, reduce local unemployment rates, and achieve development to the extent available.

Najaf Chamber of Commerce welcomed the Commercial Attaché at the Iranian Embassy in Baghdad, Mr. Abdul Amir Ribhari and his accompanying delegation. The delegation was welcomed by the Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Engineer Haider Al-Ethari and members of the Board of Directors.

During the meeting, the most important files were discussed to enhance trade cooperation relations between the two countries, and the Chamber’s Chairman raised a number of problems facing Iraqi merchants dealing with the Iranian side, and the most prominent possible means to solve them were discussed.

The proposal to establish a joint Iraqi-Iranian commercial liaison center in Najaf and Tehran was also discussed, which would facilitate any commercial dealings between the two sides, in addition to facilitating the start of business, in a secure manner under the Sponsored by the chamber and the embassy, ​​to assist also with the marketing aspect of the two countries’ products and be the nucleus of similar centers.
