At the initiative of a member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, MP Mohammed Anouz, the Najaf Chamber of Commerce held a workshop on (Arbitration Law) in cooperation with the Iraqi Council of Representatives office in Najaf Al-Ashraf, with the participation of the Chairman and members of the Chamber, members of the Iraqi Center for International Arbitration in Najaf Al-Ashraf and a number of experts, law professors and lawyers.
The articles of the draft law were discussed and a number of opinions and proposed amendments were put forward and compared with arbitration laws in the region and the International Arbitration Convention.
The process of establishing the Iraqi Center for International Arbitration in Najaf and its role in spreading the culture of arbitration among ministries, state institutions and private sector companies was also reviewed.
