The Najaf Chamber of Commerce received the Commercial Attaché at the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad, accompanied by the President and members of the Iraqi-Turkish Businessmen’s Association and a number of representatives of Turkish companies in the specialties of manufacturing, food trade, construction and energy.
Engineer Haider Al-Athari, Chairman of the Chamber, welcomed the Turkish delegation and stressed that these visits contribute to strengthening bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries, especially with the activity witnessed by these relations through the conclusion of trade agreements between the two countries, the most important of which is the Development Road Agreement.
The Commercial Attaché stressed that Turkey has come to view Iraq after the development agreement with a special and preferential view, and pointed out that the interest in the development road by the Turkish President and the Iraqi Prime Minister led to an increase in the presence of Turkish businessmen, which indicates the importance of these agreements, which include industrial and commercial aspects.
After that, representatives of Iraqi and Turkish companies introduced their work and a dialogue was held on ways to enhance trade exchange between the two countries and facilitate the work of Iraqi traders.
The meeting was attended by members of the board of directors of the chamber and a number of Najafi merchants and business owners.
