The Chamber participates in the Iraq-Thailand Forum in Baghdad

The Chairman of the Chamber, Engineer Haider Al-Athari, representing the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, participated in the work of the Iraqi-Thai Forum, which was held in Baghdad yesterday; with
the official participation of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture and Finance, represented by the General Authority for Taxation and the General Authority for Customs, the Ministry of Planning, the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, the Ministry of Health, the Department of Drug Inspection and the Central Bank of Iraq.
The forum witnessed the participation of a number of Thai businessmen and owners of companies in various fields, including pharmaceuticals, foodstuffs, construction and health materials, pharmaceuticals, hotel equipment and construction, with the aim of opening up to the Iraqi markets and enhancing trade exchange by understanding the needs of the Iraqi local market and knowing the procedures and legal frameworks that govern it.
Mr. Haider Al-Athari explained that the forum was held in implementation of the memorandum of understanding that was signed last May during the visit of the Iraqi trade mission that he led to Thailand.
Mr. Hamed Al-Ramahi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, also participated in the activities of the forum and the B2B meetings between Iraqi and Thai traders held on its sidelines.
