The Chairman of the Najaf Chamber of Commerce, Engineer Haider Al-Azari, visited the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry with Mr. Shahid Al-Ardi, Advisor to the Governor of Najaf Al-Ashraf for Industrial Affairs, and Engineer Jaber Abdul Hassan, Head of the Land and Survey Department at the Najaf Al-Ashraf Agriculture Directorate.
The visit, which was sponsored by the Najaf Chamber of Commerce, aims to cooperate and exchange experiences to promote the establishment of the (Storage City) in the province of Najaf, especially after the series of losses incurred by the province’s economy annually due to fires and unsuitable conditions for storage;
in addition to exploiting the assets of the province and its role in the national economy to establish an important logistics project that deals with the risk of fires and takes into account the conditions of occupational safety, as well as the movement of transportation and providing all logistics and security services;
which reflects its positive effects in a long-term way on the economic security of the province and the revitalization of trade movement.
Mr. Nozad Ghafoor, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, confirmed the readiness to cooperate and provide the necessary support. It is noteworthy that the tank city project in Sulaymaniyah Governorate is the only existing experience in Iraq, a city divided into specialized warehouses and extends over an area of 400 dunums.
