The Najaf Chamber of Commerce received a delegation of representatives of German companies and the head of the German Liaison Office for Industry and Trade in Baghdad in the presence of a number of representatives of Najafi companies and members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Engineer Haider Al-Athari, Chairman of the Chamber, welcomed the visiting delegation, indicating that this visit represents an opportunity to enhance trade and industrial cooperation between the two countries, especially since Iraq is looking to benefit from German technological progress in industry, agriculture, the medical field and trade, adding that Najaf has integrated economic components and is an industrial city since the 1940s.
The Director of the German Liaison Office, Doha Jabbar, said that there are great opportunities to build trade relations between the two countries, especially between private sector companies because of the wide experience of German companies and the diversity of opportunities in Iraq.
